What a Colorado Springs sign company
should actually do for you.
Most businesses looking for a sign maker in Colorado Springs are not shopping for aluminum and vinyl. They are trying to be found. A customer driving down Academy or Powers has about two seconds to register who you are and decide whether to turn in. Everything we build is aimed at that two seconds.
That is why we start with the site rather than the sign. We look at your setback, your approach speed, how much frontage the landlord gives you, what the neighboring tenants already put in the visual field, and whether the building faces east into morning glare. A beautifully made sign in the wrong place, at the wrong size, is money spent badly.
Then we see it through. APG is a full-service sign company in Colorado Springs, and our team handles the project through design, permitting when required, production, installation and the final review.
How long does a sign last
in Colorado?
At six thousand feet the UV load is materially higher than at sea level, and El Paso County sits inside the corridor NOAA storm data ranks among the most hail-prone in the country. Signs and wraps that would last a decade in a milder climate fade, chalk and crack here in a few seasons. More on how Colorado sun and hail affect sign materials.
We specify cast vinyl rather than calendered film, UV-stable acrylic and aluminum rather than thin composites, and sealed LED modules rated for the temperature swing between a January night and a July afternoon.
We also know the paperwork. City of Colorado Springs sign permitting, El Paso County requirements outside city limits, and the sign criteria that nearly every multi-tenant landlord enforces. Getting that wrong means a sign you have to take back down.
And when something does go wrong with a sign we produced, whether it is a hail season, a failed power supply or a tenant change, our team is local and has your files on hand.
Do vehicle wraps actually work
as advertising?
A wrapped work truck in Colorado Springs works every day it is on the road, and unlike an ad, you are not paying for it every month.
A van parked at a job site in Briargate advertises to that entire street for a day, and the vehicle is already on your books whether you brand it or not.
We print on cast vinyl with a laminate over the top, and we install indoors in a heated bay, which decides whether it lasts. Vinyl applied in the cold does not conform and does not adhere correctly. Once the estimate is approved and the deposit is received, our team begins the design and proofing process, with the wrap rendered on a photo of your actual vehicle before anything is printed.
For fleet graphics we keep the artwork and the vehicle templates on file, so vehicle number nine matches vehicle number one, and we stage installs so you are never short more than one or two trucks at a time.

What kind of sign does
your type of business need?
A dental office and a roofing contractor have almost nothing in common in how they get found. Here is what tends to work for each, based on what we have installed around Colorado Springs and El Paso County.
Retail and restaurant signs
Illuminated channel letters and window graphics. You live and die on foot and drive-by traffic, so being readable after dark is not optional.
Medical and dental office signs
Building letters, suite identification and ADA-compliant interior signage. Patients need to find the right door on the first try.
Contractor signs and fleet wraps
Fleet wraps and vehicle lettering. Your trucks sit in driveways all day in the neighborhoods you want more work in.
Church and nonprofit signs
Building lettering, dimensional signs and event banners, usually on a budget that has to be defended to a board.
Gym and fitness studio signs
Big building signs, interior wall graphics and branded apparel. The space itself is the marketing, so it has to photograph well.
Professional office signs
Lobby logos, dimensional letters and wayfinding. Suite numbers people can find without calling for directions.
Automotive and industrial signs
Building signs, bay identification and durable exterior signage that survives being worked around.
Franchise signs and national accounts
Brand-standard rollouts and national account installs, reviewed project by project when complete shop drawings and specifications are provided.
Why your sign, your truck
and your business card
should match.
Your brand stops drifting
The same artwork file drives your business cards and commercial print, your storefront sign and every truck in the fleet. Most brands drift, because three vendors printed them in three months from three files. When one team holds the artwork, that does not happen.
Nothing gets lost between vendors
You are not the project manager. Our team coordinates design, production and installation, so there is nothing left for you to chase between a design firm, a fabricator and an installer.
You are not chasing paperwork
Sign applications, landlord criteria and city review are part of the project, not something you are left to sort out between other jobs.
Somebody picks up the phone
When a tenant changes or a hail season takes a face out of a sign we produced, the team that built it is local and has your files on hand.

"Thank you to Chris and his team at Advanced Printing and Graphics. I am completely satisfied with the wrap that they did on my truck, better than expected. It was done in one day."

What Colorado Springs
businesses ask us most.
The questions we field most often, with real numbers where we can give them. If yours is not here, call our office and ask us.
How much does a vehicle wrap cost in Colorado Springs?
Most full car and van wraps in Colorado Springs run $3,500 to $6,500. Vehicle lettering and door decals typically run $350 to $900, partial wraps usually land between $1,500 and $3,500, and box trucks and trailers run higher, usually $6,000 to $12,000, simply because of surface area. Fleet work comes in lower per vehicle once the artwork exists. Coverage, vehicle size and how much design work is needed drive where you land. Tell us the year, make and model and how much you want covered.
How long do vehicle wraps last?
Typically five to seven years on cast vinyl with hand washing, and longer on a garage-kept vehicle. Colorado sun and altitude punish lower-grade film, which is why we do not use it. Skip automated brushes and the wrap lasts longer.
Can you wrap an entire commercial fleet?
Yes. Fleet wraps and fleet graphics are a large part of what we do. We keep your artwork on file and stage vehicles so you are never short more than one or two at a time, which means the truck you add in two years still matches the one wrapped today. What that pays back is worth reading before you commit.
How long does a sign or wrap take?
Most sign projects run four to eight weeks from site survey to installation. Vinyl and window graphics are faster, usually one to two weeks, and most vehicle wraps install in one to three days once the design is approved. Permit review is normally the longest single step, and it is the part nobody controls.
Do you design the artwork, or do I need my own?
Either way works, and most clients use ours. Our team handles logo design and production art, building a brand from scratch or working from files you already have. Once the estimate is approved and the deposit is received, our team will begin the design and proofing process, rendering the sign on a photo of your building or the wrap on your actual vehicle.
Do you repair or reface an existing sign?
APG provides repair and maintenance services for signs we originally produced. If an APG sign is damaged, has an electrical issue, or needs an approved face replacement, send us a photo and the project information so our team can review it. We can also produce replacement faces for existing monument signs when the existing structure is suitable, though we do not construct monument or pylon structures.
Sign costs, permits and sign materials are covered in depth on our blog. These ranges are typical and are not project specific estimates.
